About The SOJOURNERS

A Message From Bill Wiley, Our Director

The SOJOURNERS began about twelve years ago when a few members of the bass and tenor sections of the Bothell United Methodist Church choir began to reminisce about the 'good old songs' of their youth.  Everyone commented on how they missed singing these great Gospel tunes.  A few of us decided to meet every two weeks to sing these great old songs and have some fun.  As time went by, more and more men became interested and before we knew it, we had a group of committed singers.

In 1997, our group was visited by Dewey Forrester, a true Southern Gospel piano player from Georgia.  Dewey decided to stick around and he and his family have now been a part of our team for nearly ten years.  Over the years a few of our dearest members have moved on, but God has a way of providing new talent to fill those missing parts. Even though we have a solid membership, we are always open for new members that share our passion for praising God through Gospel music. We rehearse on the 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoons of every month at Bothell United Methodist Church.

The Sojourners sing at churches, retirement homes, community events and just about anywhere there is a need to 'lift the spirits' with some foot stomping and spiritually motivating music.  We have performed for large events and for small groups in small towns...and we enjoy them all equally. We have met some nice folks on the road and we are so grateful for the opportunities that we have had to share our Music Ministry.

Even though we enjoy producing CD's, our primary mission is to inspire, uplift, entertain, and provide the HOPE that is found within our message of music and Testimony.  We do not charge for performances, but do ask that we sell our CD's to help support our continued Ministry. Please feel free to contact us for booking information.. We look forward to serving you in song!
